8 Signs your battery is dying/dead

A good battery is necessary to keep the engine and other accessories in the car running.

  1. No light or electrical accessories come on upon turning the key
  2. Starting the car is hard work (needs to be cranked 3 times or more before starting)
  3. Lights and accessories dims with each cranking before car starts.
  4. Radio and/or other accessories shut off intermittently while driving
  5. Battery needs to be jumped every 3 - 5 days or more.
  6. Battery dies within 15 - 30 minutes sitting with engine off and radio/ accessories running.
  7. Starter motor (kick-starter) and/or alternator have died and been replaced already.
  8. Lights and/or accessories blink or dim when accelerator is pressed while in motion.
